Goals

It is always a good idea when taking such a long journey and putting in all this hard work to figure out exactly what you want as an end result. It is tougher than you think. I know I want to lose weight, learn healthy eating habits, and get in good physical shape. Those are not specific, measurable goals. Having goals you can meet and physically keep track of are great motivators. Also, rewarding yourself along the way for mini goals and for your ultimate end goal are good for motivation too. Here is what I am thinking so far for my weight loss goals.
Weight Loss Goals
  • Take the journey five pounds at a time and give myself a smaller reward for every five pounds and a bigger reward for every ten pounds.
  • For every size that I lose, I will go through my motivation closet to "shop" my old clothes for ones that fit again. If there are any gaps in wardrobe staples (like black dress pants for example), I will buy what I need to get by until the next size.
  • Every pound lost equals a $1 in a piggy bank to buy new clothes when I get to my goal weight.
  • Every week of meeting my work out goals equals $1 in the piggy bank for new clothes.
  • My ultimate goal weight would be to get down to 120 again. The weight that I got the most compliments with is 135, so I my end goal is between 120-135.
