Week Twenty-Three and the Weekend

I had plans to do a lot and get a lot done this weekend. I did both, but still didn't finish all that I planned on doing.
On Saturday I went out to lunch with a friend from work (who is now happily retired). I had a healthy lunch of a grilled chicken wrap and cottage cheese. The wrap had grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and honey mustard on it. While we were at the restaurant, a group of high school age girls sang a couple of Christmas carols. We spent most of our time on Saturday antiquing at the usual spots. I only bought one thing (was planning on buying nothing), but my friend paid for most of it as part of my Christmas present. It is an original piece of art with music symbols and a flute. Couldn't pass that up.

Also on Saturday I did some grocery shopping, wrote and mailed my Christmas cards,

This is the photo I used for my Christmas cards this year. It is Sebastion from last year.

balanced the check book, paid some bills, and played lots of Super Mario Kart 7 for the 3DS.

On Sunday I spent the morning trying on jeans. I didn't end up buying any, but it was fun to try on 14's and kind of fit in them. Right now I'm in the awkward in between sizes stage. My 16's are big enough to fall off of me, but most of my 14's are tight in the waist and giving me a nice spill over of fat. I either have to wear a more fitted top and belt up my 16's or wear a flowy/baggier/longer top and wear my 14's. My size 14 dress pants are fitting better than my size 14 jeans which are mostly too tight for comfort right now. It is the opposite of what happened last time I went down a pant size.

I really liked this Route 66 Flare Curvy Fit jeans from K-Mart.

Some Apt. 9 pants I liked at Kohl's.

What I actually ended up buying at Kohl's. I got it for 70% off.
I spent Sunday afternoon cleaning the house. I dusted, swept, mopped, sanitized, organized, did laundry, and did dishes. I'm hoping that the exercise makes up for the excess of food I've been eating this weekend. Most of it wasn't terribly bad, but just too big of serving sizes.
