The Little Things

We had been having flurries this past weekend, but I had no idea that we were supposed to get snow last night. I woke up to about 1-2" in the yard. I didn't leave any earlier than usual, but I should have. The roads were horrible this morning, but all was melted and fine when I left work.

I've been concentrating too much on all of the stressful or negative things going on recently. So here is a list of the little things that are okay or good right now.

  • I've almost made it through my first day of really trying again. I have to say that I wasn't all that tempted to eat junk food today, so that is good. I've been busy at work and running errands after work, so I don't know if much exercise will get done, but I did do some extra walking around stores to get some groceries and things for work.
None of this today!

  • My dad had surgery today and is doing okay as of now.

  • My father-in-law helped us replace our deadbolt (which was brass while the regular doorknob/lock was nickel) with a nice new nickel one.

  • I got some new makeup brushes to go with my new makeup. My old powder brush was getting kinda icky anyway.

  • I found some 90 and 100 calorie "sweet" things to help as I work on reducing my "unhealthy" snacks.

  • I cooked my own dinner of a turkey burger today and made one for tomorrow since I have a late day at work.

  • The piano at work was tuned and the broken caster was fixed! It hadn't been tuned since 2008.

  • I got my engagement ring back (from being fixed) and am happy to be wearing my wedding ring with it again.

  • I have crocuses pushing up in the yard that are blooming today.

  • I made myself be accountable and took the "lbs." button off of my poundpuncher bracelet until I lose 2 pounds again.

Workout: stretches, some extra walking, maybe a couple of chores around the house if I'm lucky
