My Saturday and April Goals

Before I get to my Saturday, here is a picture of the cute outfit I wore to work on Friday. I just felt the need to wear something that made me feel good, so I did.

I love these jeans! They fit so nice and flare just right. Also you can actually see space between my upper legs!

Some of my favorite earrings ever.
Today has been a pretty typical Saturday. I started off the morning with some shopping and errands. I got myself some breakfast from McDonald's. My usual "healthier" breakfast choice from there is an Egg McMuffin, but today I was bad and got a southern style chicken biscuit. I then had some coupons for clothes at Dollar General, so I got a few things.

These pants are a size medium! They are tight, but they will eventually fit right once I lose some weight.

I'm kinda embarrassed by this picture of my new shorts, because of my legs. You can't really see the huge varicose vein I have in this picture, but you sure can see some ugly spider veins. I never thought I'd say this, but I think that once I lose the weight and have children, I'm going to need surgery to feel comfortable with showing off my legs.

After that I got to returning the all the extra stuff I bought last weekend when trying to find the best price and fit for my Hermione costume for work. I also stopped by Old Navy because they had cardigans on sale for $8. I got some neutrals hoping that they will get a lot of use for work.

Here is a picture with the white Old Navy cardigan. I also got it in tan, navy, and black.
The last stop was Wal-Mart to get some groceries. While I was there and thinking about my stagnant weight loss, I thought I might get something to bribe reward myself for a small weight loss to get things rolling again. I hit the $5 CD bin and found two CDs. I'll open one and put it on my iPod when I reach 187 again. At 185, I get to open and play my new Singstar game (Legends). Then I'll use the other $5 CD when I reach 183, and my other Singstar game (Queen) when I reach 180.

I also haven't been putting a time goal on my weight loss for a long while, and maybe I should be doing that again too. I found I usually didn't meet those goals and it bummed me out a little. I'm going for a weight range this time and that might help. My goal for April is to lose 4-8 pounds by the end of the month. I think that is a reasonable goal in a reasonable amount of time. I just got to start trying a little harder and putting more effort and time into myself and my weight loss again. I've been so caught up in work and some personal struggles and lost sight of what I need to do. I don't really want to wait until the walking challenge at work to start (April 22), so with a new month a new start.

As a side note, besides all the extra walking I did for shopping, I did get some extra activity in by push mowing my yard. Doesn't it look nice now?
