May Goals and Special K Bars

New month and new goals! It is nice that I met my goal last month with a total loss of 6.4 pounds. I wish I would have made it to 8 pounds, but that is still a good number. This month my goal is another 4-8 pounds. If I could get to 7.2 pounds, I'd be down to 180 and doing a happy dance at the end of the month due to weight loss and not the start of summer break!

Some other things to work on and goals for the month are...
  • walking at least 8,000 steps a day (would prefer at least 10,000)
  • continue doing my stretches once a day
  • do some kind of extra movement (walking, chores, etc.) for 30 minutes every weekday
  • eat three healthy meals and snacks a day
  • take my vitamin daily
  • get used to being okay with feeling hungry again (after I've eaten everything I should, I need to learn to deal with it)
  • rely less on Special K bars and granola bars to satisfy my sweet tooth
My eating has really been going well except for a little incident last night. I was craving either a chocolate candy bar or a sweet like a donut really bad. I told myself no way and didn't eat any treats. Later that night I ate a an extra Special K bar thinking it would help satisfy the craving.

Why do Special K bars have to taste so darn good? All the flavors are good, not just this one!

It didn't, so I just kept on eating the stupid things! I would have eaten less calories by just having the 250 calorie candy bar. Today I didn't want to run into that kind of trouble again, so I stopped on the way home and got one Twix bar. I ate it on the way home and have been doing much better tonight. I can't keep candy bars or other treats like that in the house, because all it takes is one bad day and I'm eating them all. I will have to stop after work or go out and just buy one at a time to keep it under control.

Some other recent eats...

Sorry for it being the wrong direction, but it doesn't want to change.
