The New Master and Guest Bedrooms

Since we have gotten the new king size bed, I've had to shuffle around all the furniture between the three bedrooms. The furniture that was in the master bedroom is now somehow (minus two chairs) in the guest bedroom. I was lucky enough that the comforter set I had in their was really a full size one even though there was a twin bed in there before. I was able to keep all the décor in there but just move it around to new places. The only money I spent was for some fake flowers for a "vase" (really a toothbrush holder) and for an under the bed box for some more storage. By the way, it is amazing how much you can cram fit under the bed! Since I'm so proud of how it turned out, here are some pictures of the new guest bedroom.

The bed frame (of which I'm only using the headboard) was a 4-H project of mine.

This dresser is also part of a 4-H project.

This is also a 4-H project.

I've also gotten the master bedroom mostly arranged with the different furniture. There are still a few projects to do such as organization in the closet and dressers, some touch up paint, and finding/making a headboard. We also have a "nicer" comforter set, but I haven't broken it out yet, so there are no pictures of it yet. So here are the pictures of the master bedroom for now.

Yay, the king size bed!

I rearranged the pictures to match the width of the bed.

I'm not sure if I'm totally happy with this arrangement, but I can always change it later.

Notice how the hubs ended up with no night stand? Maybe someday I'll put some floating shelves on each side of the bed for a stand.

My night stand.

The closet doors drive me bananas! Since we decided we aren't doing white trim, I can't just paint them white. I will find some way to make these look better someday.

This is the corner behind the door, so no one really sees it. It bothers me that this stand (orginally for the bathroom behind the toilet but now fits well in this corner and over the hamper) is white and now there will be no white trim for it to fit into the room. I guess some dark brown paint maybe?

My dad made this cabinet for me with some leaded glass doors. I used it to display all my dolls as a child. Right now I just have a little bit of some of my old stuff in there.

My hubby's dresser (notice how he got the smaller one).

My dresser with my new jewelry box I got with a Kohl's gift card. The mirrors I got for S1 a piece from the Dollar Tree since I needed something between the lamps. The two pieces of artwork that flank the sides were my grandma's.

A close up of my dresser which was my great-grandparent's.
