I'm just getting this page set up today, so there will be pages on here with nothing on them for a little while probably. Anyway, I'm really excited to finally get my thoughts, fears, accomplishments, set backs, and all the other things that go along with a major weight loss journey out and in the open for others to see and discuss. I've been keeping things bottled up for so long and I could really use a listening ear in this process. I love my husband dearly, but I don't think he'll ever understand what it is like to be overweight. He is skinny and can eat whatever he wants and never gains weight. Me, on the other hand, can look at a piece of cake and gain weight.
My weight loss plan this time around (as there have been many starts and stops over the past few years) is the Six Week Body Makeover (SWBM) by Michael Thurmond. I have done low calorie diets, Weight Watchers, and the SWBM. They all work when you actually do them, but for now I feel that SWBM is right for me. I really do need to learn how to eat healthily without the option of junk food, so this is it.
As for exercise, that hasn't been a problem for me in the past. I played sports growing up. After being done with sports, I've liked doing things on my own such as rollerblading, walking, biking, workout videos, and work out video games (Wii Fit and Kinect games). I just got to keep it up this time and not stop moving.
