The Rest of Week Fifteen

Things have been really busy for me so far this month. This is usually the point where I give up in the school year in dieting and give into temptation due to stress and being busy. This year has to be different, so I can't keep going like I have been the past week or two. Some days I have been eating really healthy and others not so much. Some days just my snacks are bad and others everything has been bad. I feel overwhelmed because of things I need to get done at work and am running out of time for along with things that I want to do after work around the house and for me. Before I know it the weather will be too cold to work outside in the yard, and I will have to switch over to doing things inside such as exercise video games and exercise machines instead.

The goal this year is to be a little selfish and focus on me, my food intake, my exercise, and my health before the other things. This is hard for me to do, but I think it is the only way I can stick with what I need to do to lose the weight for good.

This weekend I once again traveled around for a family event. My Aunt Bea (she is technically not my blood aunt but has been a family friend that has been around since way before I was part of the family) turned 90 and there was a birthday party for her today. My aunt took a picture of the "usual" crew which showed up, so if she gets the picture up on Facebook, I'll put it up here.

After I got done with the Bea's party, I visited my "dachshund" lady (the one we got all three of our doxies from) to return a carrier case I borrowed when I got Lilly. I got to show off some pictures of the dogs and visit for a few minutes.

The last stop before I went home today was my parents house real quickly to see my mom's new cat Izzy. She kinda reminds me of one of my childhood cats, Windy. She just wants to curl up in your lap and sleep.

I was lazy today with the picture taking. I'm sure a few pictures would spice up this long post, but I didn't remember to take any at the time. I will be starting back with my regular blogging tomorrow with my food intake, life events, and exercise. If I don't start regularly blogging, one of you readers must hound me on here or Facebook until I do. It seems to keep me more accountable.
