Week Thirteen, Day Six and Homecoming

Today was homecoming at my college, Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer. I had plans with my friends from college to have a cookout and to go to the game and bookstore. I was bad and forgot to take pictures of not only my food, but what I did that day as well. It would have made the post a little more interesting, but I have a couple of pictures to share minus my friends.

First order of business was to find some food which we did at the beer and brat tent. There weren't very good choices for me on this diet, so I had a hot pretzel and water. That was it the whole time...

After our tummies stopped grumbling, we went to the bookstore to get some new gear. I really was looking forward to this, since I was a size SMALL throughout most of college. I saved everything that was in good shape, but it will be a long time until I can wear it again. I got three new items.

I had to get a music shirt, especially since it was only $9 on clearance!

I thought that this would be a nice shirt I could wear to school on Fridays with jeans or even other days of the week with khakis.

A new sweatshirt. I had trouble deciding on sweatshirts, but I decided on this one because it is zip up and made of lightweight material.

We went back to the beer and brat tent until halftime. Many of my group are former band members, so we had to see the halftime show. I loved the theme and song selections- That '70's show. They played "Reeling in the Years" by Steely Dan, "School's Out" by Alice Cooper, "Frankenstein" by the Edgar Winter Group (which featured the band director and percussion section playing the drum solo on trash cans), and then the school fight song and The Saints Go Marching In.

After halftime we went back to a friend's house and did the cookout. I ate some things that I shouldn't have, but I kept my portions small. We played Singstar (which I've never played before) '80's, '90's, and Rockin'. I'm now addicted to these games! Hopefully with my birthday and Christmas around the corner, I can get some of them. I ended up leaving at 9:00 to go home, so I could get some cleaning or song selection for work done Sunday morning. I know, I'm such a party animal. ;)
