Week Twenty-Four, Day Four and Goals

Today was an okay day, but nothing too much to talk about. I did lose another pound this morning, so I'm down to 192.5. I'm hoping to make it 192 by the end of the week. That would give me two more pounds to lose by Christmas which is a reasonable goal. I just keep trying to remind myself that losing 30 pounds is more a Christmas gift than eating a bunch of seasonal junk or heavy in calories food. Last year at this time I was gaining weight and eating chocolate candies by the bag. The worst thing I've done in the past couple of weeks is eat a couple of rice crispy squares (at 90 calories a piece) in a day.

Since I met my goal of 193, I opened one of my CDs I had sitting around for this occasion. I put it on my iPod and listened to it during my prep period while I was writing my lesson plans for next week. That is a nice little reward, at least I think so.

I also wanted to give a shout out to a co-worker friend of mine who reads this blog. She recently lost 20 pounds and her clothes are getting too big for her. Both of those are milestones. Reaching a goal like 20 certainly helps as a motivator as well.
