Game Night with the Girls

On Saturday, I had a busy day of getting ready for a trip down to Lafayette to see my group of St. Joe (as in the college in Rensselaer) friends. It was horribly snowy few days before this, so I went to check out the major highway in the morning and was happy to find it was clear. I then went to get some new tires for my car which I should have done before the snow hit.
My father-in-law, husband, and I went to get some lunch while the tires were getting changed. We went to Longhorn Steakhouse. I've never been there before, but my husband goes there sometimes and says it is good. I got a half grilled chicken and strawberry salad and a bowl of French onion soup. It was very tasty and way too much for me to eat at one sitting.

Since I didn't get my stuff ready the night before, I had to rush after lunch to get ready. Lafayette is an hour ahead of me, so this time I was trying to keep the time change in mind. I decided to just shower and pack and make my veggie tray when I got there. Since I was running late, I didn't stop to get any dinner. I ate from my veggie tray before eating anything else.

My friends also brought trail mix, cheese flavored popcorn, animal crackers, pico de gallo, and chips. I drank diet Mt. Dew and diet Cherry Pepsi to keep myself up and eventually gave in to the other snacks. I was so hungry that veggies weren't holding me over. We did stay up until after 1 in the morning (which is super late for me since I go to bed between 9:00 and 9:30 on most days), so I guess I needed something.

We just sat around and played games that whole time. We played some games on the Wii such as a Disney trivia game, You Don't Know Jack, and Just Dance 3. We also played The Game of Things (I really like this one) and Scribblish. And of course, we sat around talked as well.

    1. It was good seeing you too Rachel! I'm glad that the veggies got eaten. I didn't want to worry about them in my car as I was traveling around. Thanks for reading my blog and I'm glad that you enjoy it!
