Week Twenty-Seven, Thursday: Working During Break and Goals for Next Week

Today I spent a lot of time getting things done around my classroom. I spent this morning working on grades, but still have more to finish (just entering the grades/comments for 4th grade though, K-3rd is done).


I also put new carpet tape under the carpet squares that no longer stuck on the floor.











I decorated my bulletin board in my classroom.


I cleaned/sanitized my classroom and office (clean windows, pictures, white board, sanitize desk, handles, doorknobs, and dusted).

I'm thinking that I should set a couple of goals for myself for next week. I go back to work and it would be easy to fall into some bad habits again while being busy and/or stressed out. I'm going to keep it simple with two goals of things I used to do, but have fallen out of habit of doing.
  1. My first goal is to cook myself an "on-plan" breakfast on weekdays instead of getting McDonald's. My "on-plan" breakfast usually is 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1/3 cup egg whites with a sprinkle of cheese on top, and 1/2 cup of some type of fruit or applesauce.
  2. The second goal is in addition to my moving around more (typical chores or home improvement projects), do a "real workout." This week I would like to work on adding in my stretches and either doing 30 minutes on the Wii Fit or Kinect.
Now, this doesn't mean that I'm going to go crazy with my eating and lack of exercise the next few days. I'm just not going to feel bad if I don't get to them with all the things I should be doing before I go back to work next week.
