Our Kinda Valentine's Day

Andrew and I decided we would both be too busy on Tuesday to celebrate Valentine's Day. We were right, but we did plan ahead and spent some time together on Sunday. We didn't spend much on each other, but there were small presents and cards.

The one I got Andrew.
The one Andrew wanted to get me and did get me. Notice it is a birthday card for your grandson! His defense was that it was a t-rex holding a gift and that is cool.
The one Andrew's dad made him buy so he could give me halfway normal Valentine's card. We love our doxies if you can't tell.
He actually got me flowers! Andrew isn't one for flowers, but these can be planted in the yard when it gets warmer.
This is what I got Andrew since he isn't fond of Valentine's Day, but he does like robots... It sings and dances to the song "Love Machine."
We also went to Red Lobster for lunch and we both got tilapia.

Then we went to the mall since I needed to get my engagement and wedding rings inspected. It is a good idea to keep up on those six month inspections. I've never really had a problem until now, but I'm glad I don't have to pay to get it fixed! My engagement ring is just a diamond with four prongs holding it in place. One of the prongs was really bent out of place and the diamond was loose. The whole head of the ring is being remade, so I'll have a almost new ring soon.

My wedding band looks silly without the engagement ring diamond in the middle of the wrap, so I've been wearing other gold rings for now until I get it back.
We then went home and Andrew worked on his thesis while I worked on things for school. We were both on our own computers, but at least we were at home and within talking distance of each other.
