Ten Great Things about Losing Thirty-Three Pounds

I know that it has been a while since anything new has been posted, but so much has been going on. My family member that was in the hospital last week is doing well enough to be at home recovering. I had other family members who were in a car accident this weekend. They are all okay, but they could have easily been seriously injured or worse. Although I'm not the person physically going through these horrible events, the stress was overwhelming just thinking about it all. That is why I haven't written anything in a while.

My poundpuncher bracelet moved to two pounds loss out of my ten pound goal.

I am proud to say that other than today and yesterday, I have been eating on plan and exercising on schedule. (And I do plan on getting back to it tomorrow!) It ended up resulting in about a three pound loss last week. I'm really beginning to notice the changes physically. Here are some of the positive things I've noticed with my recent weight loss of 33 pounds (in other words- non scale victories):

1. I can fit into most of my size 14 misses pants and size 17 juniors pants. I think I'm safe to say that I'm officially a size 14.

2. My shirt size has gone down as well. I wear a large in misses (and a few of my larges are getting big) and an XXL or XL in juniors depending on the shirt.

3. I wear a smaller size in underwear! Most people probably don't want to know that, but it is kinda fun seeing all of your clothes getting too big.

Who doesn't love a cute pair of underwear?

4. My size 7 rings are getting too big for my ring finger. I took my wedding ring and engagement ring to get their 6 month inspections. My engagement ring had a really messed up prong on it, so the whole head is being remade. I looked really stupid wearing just my wedding ring since it is a wrap, so I went looking through my other rings to see what fit. My high school class ring fits!

5. My legs are so much smaller (as are many other body parts). I really noticed it in my legs and arms though. I actually use less lotion since my legs have less skin to lotion!

My favorite BBW scent. I won't have to spend as much money on it now since it will take me longer to use a bottle.

6. My winter coat is too big. I can actually fit in the winter coats I was wearing before I got married and was working at Wal-Mart.

7. I can squeeze through more tighter spaces like between my car and my husband's car in the garage or the art tables at school.

8. I have learned to enjoy sweets without wanting to eat the whole container or go on a binge. I don't spend time looking for ways to sneak snacks either. I can enjoy one of my pumpkin brownies or two or three of my nutritional cookies and am okay with it.

9. I can do more physical activity and my body is stronger. I barely get out of breath going up and down the basement stairs. I can dance and do more motions with my students without huffing and puffing. I can do more difficult exercises and games on the Wii Fit and do a good job on them.

10. I am almost out of the obese weight range. Just a few more pounds and the Wii Fit can stop playing the clumsy, fat person music and saying I'm obese in a tiny, high pitched voice. I've never seen how/what it says for just overweight, so I guess I'll write about it when I get there.

I actually fit into some old workout clothes including shorts!
