If you don’t know why I named the post “Monday, Monday,” it is after a song by The Mamas and The Papas. I’m at my desk looking at all my future rewards for reaching certain weight loss goals, and there is a CD with a best of The Mamas and The Papas.
If you looked at my weigh-in today, I actually went up 0.8 of a pound. I’m not too worried though, because I’m hoping that the magical 2 something pounds is mostly bloat weight. I’m also not too worried about my goal, since I’ve already reached 4 pounds lost. I’m hoping to make it to 8 though by the end of April.
Speaking of goals, here are my goals for the week:
My outfit for my first day back to work was simple and needed no ironing (the best part).
| I also had a few accessories like my new bracelet that I got from Fashion Bug a while back for $3. |
Today I did practices for my Spring Program at work. I had four one hour long practices- one with each first, second, third, and fourth grade as a whole grade level. We got a lot done, but it was very tiring for me. By the time I got to my kindergartners at the end of the day, I had no energy. Kind of like Sebastion, my lazy yet pack leader doxie.
A few exciting things came my way today to help with weight loss and fitness (besides my motivation returning). The first one is that I got my fancy pedometer for the walking challenge at work. I’ve read the information about it and can’t wait to set it up. My workouts will include a lot more walking since I need to walk at least 8,000 steps a day. The challenge doesn’t start until next week though.
The second thing is that I happened to be at Meijer to pick up some elastic to hopefully make some bunny ears stay on a student’s head while he dances and found an interesting cookbook. It is by Hungry Girl which I know from my time doing Weight Watchers. The recipes are easy and there are 300 of them for fewer than 300 calories. This sounds like it is right up my alley!
