D'oh!

I think that I've had the slap in the face that I needed to get serious about losing weight again. The past couple of weeks I have been lazy about watching what I eat and the results are not good. I've gained a ton of weight! I'm back up to 195! This is crazy because not all that long ago I was closer to 185.

I decided to go through my clothes in my regular closet and start trying on. I realized that most of my stuff is tight and much of it doesn't fit anymore! I pulled out things I wouldn't be caught in public wearing because they are too tight. I just sold/gave away most of my clothes that are one size bigger, so I don't have a choice in the matter of losing weight again. I refuse to buy bigger clothes!

I'm not done yet, so I'm sure that there will be more added to the pile.

A while back I joined a challenge on one of the blogs I read- a small loss. She gave herself a hundred days to meet her goal and invited others to join her. I made the goal of staying on my eating plan. Well, the first ten days have really been bad as you can see! Monday was much better as you will see in pictures below. I would like to stick to my goal for the rest of the 100 days, so here is to doing better!

On the positive side of things, I have kept up with my C25K schedule and have completed week four day one. Here are the stats for Monday's wog:

  • 4,324 aerobic steps
  • 33 minutes
  • 1.81 miles

  • And here is my play list for this week:
    • White Unicorn- Wolfmother (warm-up walk)
    • Desire- U2 (jog)
    • Words of Love- Buddy Holly (walk)
    • We Didn't Start the Fire- Billy Joel (jog)
    • Cupid- Sam Cooke (walk)
    • I Won't Back Down- Tom Petty (jog)
    • Golden Slumbers- The Beatles (walk)
    • Smooth- Santana (jog)
    • Truckin'- Grateful Dead (cool-down walk)
After my wog, I went shopping with my sister for most of the day. She was looking at a couple of stores near me, so I met up with her. We went to Value City Furniture, Old Navy, JCP, and a few other stores in the mall. I'm happy to report that I not only found some nice things on sale, but I did a good job of eating the right way while not at home.

As you can see by the sale stickers, some great prices from $0.80 to $1.49.

    Old Navy find.

Fifty percent off at the local "hippie" store called Green Fields.

JCP for only $4 (was $20).

JCP again for $3 (instead of $13).

JCP another time for $8 (instead of $20).

Here is the food for the day:

I had one similar to this, but it had grapes instead of pretzels.
