Eating Out Thursday

I started off Thursday with a healthy breakfast. I changed things up a little bit and made an egg wrap with a 100% whole grain tortilla, scrambled egg whites, a little bit of sprinkle cheese, and a sprinkle of light ranch dressing. I also had a banana with it. Needless to say, it was really yummy and I'll be having one those for breakfast the next few days.

I took a picture open so you could see the good stuff that I put on the inside.

My whole breakfast.
I also attempted to make another oatmeal breakfast cookie as a morning snack. It is actually pretty good for you with oatmeal, Greek yogurt, and nuts. Protein and whole grains. Mine still doesn't look like the picture on the blog I got it from, but it tastes pretty good.

Attempt #2 at the cookie.
After breakfast I went to run a few errands like stopping by the post office and returning more stuff to the store. This time it has nothing to do with returning things I'm not using for the bathroom reno. I was looking at my motivation closet, and I found some clothes with tags still on them. My shredder is jammed, so I haven't shredded receipts for a long time. I decided to pull out some of the more casual summer clothes and return them if I could find the receipt. I did this because I'm not going to fit into them before the school year starts. Once the school year starts, I won't need many casual clothes since I have to dress up four days a week. I think part of it has to do with the frustration I have with myself for not doing better with the weight loss this summer too.

Three bags of clothes to return. It is a shame I haven't fit into them yet, but I did get about $70 back.

I was environmentally responsible and made some Crystal Light lemonade in one of my reusable mugs for my trip instead of buying bottled water or pop.

The fates tempted me with a coupon off of candy bars! I went home and threw the coupon away immediately.
My hubby and I decided to go out for lunch at a restaurant that is about a five minute walk from my house called Lucrezia's. Here's the website if you are interested: http://lucreziacafe.com/. I have never been there before, but my hubby has with my FIL. The food was good and the service was also great. It was also fun to sit outside to eat as well.

The outside eating area. We were the first ones of the day there.

They gave us bread and oil to start off with. I had two of these small pieces of bread.

I also had a house salad which was very yummy.

My main course was minestrone soup. Also very good!
After lunch my hubby needed to take his car in to get his breaks repaired, so I followed him out there so he could have a ride back home. The rest of the afternoon was spent sanding the walls again. We are getting closer, and should hopefully be done with the walls on Friday.

Yes, this again. If my same picture is annoying you by now, imagine my boredom in doing this activity again.
I also went out to eat with the hubs and FIL for dinner at a local restaurant called Bronko's. I didn't take a picture, but I did get the two piece white meat chicken dinner with a baked potato. Bronko's chicken is really good. So good in fact we had it at our wedding!

As you can see, I did do a lot better with the eating today. I had one downfall and that was snacks. I ate around five granola bars today! I know that is insane, but I think that admitting and documenting this online might help me to get myself back on track. I tried on a couple pairs of work pants today for some more motivation. They both technically fit on my body, but it doesn't look too good. I might even pop a button or bust a seam! I'm hoping to build on my small successes today and have an even better Friday.
