Week One, Day One

This is really day one for me on the new (or following the old one again) plan. I did eat pretty well yesterday, but since it was the 4th of July, I didn't spend time on the computer. I planned on posting pictures of my meals, but I guess I was too hungry or out of it this morning to remember to do that before I eat.

Here is my breakfast:
  • 1/4 cup egg white with barely a sprinkle of low fat cheese
  • banana
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal with a little bit of cocoa and splenda
  • water
Here is my midmorning snack:
  • 6 thin slices of chicken lunchmeat
  • handful of baby carrots
  • low fat ranch dressing
  • crystal light
Here is my lunch:
  • chicken kebabs with onions, green peppers, and tomatoes
  • corn on the cob
  • crystal light
Here is my other snack:
  • granola bar
Here is dinner:
  • veggie burger
  • fries
  • sugar free pudding
Here is my night snack:
  • bean burrito
Exercise:
Day one of trying to get more movement into my life. I already do a lot of things around the house, and I am all about exercise that serves a purpose such as painting a room or mowing the yard. I started out this morning by doing my stretches for loosening up my neck and shoulder muscles. It took between 5-10 minutes. I do these more for myself than for the sake of losing weight (as in I already know they don't do much for that!). I get very tense in the neck and shoulder region which causes, believe it or not, wrist pain. Doing these exercises helps my wrists so I am not so weak and don't drop things all the time. As for cleaning, I have cleaned the bathroom, kitchen, dusted the whole house, and am starting to mop the floors now. I also walked to the antique store and did a little shopping, so that was fun exercise.
