My Workweek of Meeting My Goals

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, but I'm hoping that now I'm caught up on some things that I should have the time again for blogging. I've been really focusing on my three goals for the week and making sure to take the time out of the day to do them.

I got both of these sticky notes from the Target dollar section. I got a bunch of them so I can use them as I make new goals. I also got a couple of notebooks, so I'll probably use them to keep track of my progress on meeting my goals.

Goal #1: Cooking myself a healthy breakfast. My breakfasts should be a serving of protein, a serving of complex carbs, and a serving of fruit. I like to eat egg whites as my protein. I almost always put a sprinkle of cheese on top. Sometimes I use veggies (tomatoes, red onions, or green peppers) or salsa as well. My serving of complex carbs is oatmeal. I usually make the quick oats in the microwave and add honey. My fruit is usually canned fruit or applesauce.

Goal #2: Doing my neck/shoulder stretches. To make a long story short, I went to physical therapy over a year ago and have these stretches and exercises that I should be doing to reduce the tension in these muscles. I carry my stress there and my muscles get so tense that my hands don't work as well and I drop things. It only takes me between 5-10 minutes to do them, so it is worth the little bit of time.
Notice I'm doing my stretches in the morning in my PJ's.

Goal #3: Play either the Wii Fit or Kinect every day. My choice for now is the Wii Fit. I picked up my old routine which is 15 minutes of yoga and toning exercises, 10 minutes of aerobics, and 5 minutes balance exercises.

This is me mid single leg extension.

Here is my routine:
  1. Deep Breathing
  2. Half Moon
  3. Warrior
  4. Sun Salutation
  5. Single Leg Extension
  6. Torso Twists
  7. Jackknife
  8. Triceps Extension
  9. Basic Step
  10. Beginning Rhythm Boxing
  11. Rhythm Parade (for the band dork in me)
  12. Soccer Heading
  13. Penguin Slide
  14. Lotus Focus
Here are some other foods that I have been eating this week:
My before school starts snack.

My mid morning snack.

My sometimes lunch this week. All the things go together to make a sandwich. When I was lazy I went for a bowl of chicken noodle soup instead.

My after school snack.
